QUR’ANIC ARABIC COURSE

This course is conducted using our own publication “Lessons in Qur’anic Arabic” which is the fruit of years of teaching experience and attempts to present complex concepts in the simplest way to complete beginners. The objective of this course is to teach students those rules that are essential for translating the Qur’an, with reference to Qur’anic verses. It is not an exhaustive text of Arabic grammar and those who wish to delve deeper into the subject will have to study other texts; it also does not enable students to converse in Arabic.

Course Details

Duration of Course3 or 4 semesters spanning one and a half years to two, starting in August every year.
ScheduleClasses are held Monday to Thursday, for one hour per day. Students also have access to the tarbiyah sessions and other short courses.
AssignmentsAssignments are given every weekend and discussed in class in the first lesson of the following week.
ExamsExams are held at the end of every semester.

Basic Expectations from Students

  • 4 hours of class time per week
  • Assignments on weekends requiring 1 to 2 hours
